PROTIDE version 2.1.9 is released at the end of May / beginning of June 2010. This release concerns updates on the user interface, functional changes, optimization of the calculation method and performance increase of the application.

PROTIDE version 2.1.9 is released at the end of May / beginning of June 2010. This release concerns updates on the user interface, functional changes, optimization of the calculation method and performance increase of the application. Some changes were already released in the spring of 2010. In those cases this release concerns the stabilization of the functionality. An overview of the added or changed functionality:

User Interface

  • New arrangement main menu
  • Tabbed overviews in modules for fast navigation
  • Clearer input forms
  • Standard sort of tables (most recent at the top)
  • Added table menu options (▼-sign right top of the table) for filtering, refresh, edits and downloads
  • Restructuring of table overviews (removal of redundant information and added necessary information)
  • Alignment of graphs
  • Extension of 'click'-functionality in graphs
  • Rounding of numbers

Functional changes

  • Closure / archive of tidal window requests
  • Encapsulation of regions (also for speed regimes and calculation settings)
  • Full implementation authorization system
  • Calculation of the open and close times of a tidal window next to the route advice (green and red lines)
  • Added the comparison module for tidal window advices
  • Extension of the status module
  • Enhancement of the manual data edits by adding a visualisation
  • Made a difference in extensions (swell) and overrides (water level) in manual changes
  • Distinction of indicative and definitive approval of advices

Calculation

  • Determination of the water level standard deviation based on historical data
  • Higher precision and general enhancements of the calculation
  • Better application of the speed regimes

Performance

  • Improved all screen reaction times
  • Better performance manual data adjustments module
  • Better performance prediction data module
